Nepal International Adoption
Nepal Program

Note: We are now accepting applications for this new program. You can easily have a child in your home six months from the time that you start the process. However, the country is restrictive as to who can adopt. But if you qualify, this is an excellent program.

There are children immediately available including baby boys. The facilitator has 13 years experience and works with nine orphanages. The adoption itself takes just a couple of weeks to proceed and then you and your spouse travel to attend the adoption hearing.. The in-country stay lasts about 7-10 days and includes the time to get your child's birth certificate, passport and visa.

Through this program, Carolina Hope Christian Adoption Agency helps support a Christian orphanage.

Who can adopt?

Married couples between the ages of 30 and 55 years of age and single women between 35 and 55 years of age may adopt. If a couple wishes to adopt, one must have a statement from a physician indicating infertility. There must be at least 30 years between the adoptive parents' ages and the child's age. Parents must adopt a child of the opposite sex of the child or children in the home. If you have a boy and a girl, you cannot adopt unless the child is from the wife's previous marriage.

Also there can be no more than 45 years age difference between the child and the oldest parent.

What children are available?

Nepal International Adoption Infants, toddlers, and preschool age children are available, although you are permitted to adopt an older child. The wait for an infant can be longer than for a pre-school child.

The children live in orphanages and the babies and children receive good care.

How long does it take to adopt?

Most likely a pre-school child will be assigned to you soon after your dossier is in Nepal, and the wait for an infant usually will take longer. Once you receive a referral of a child--whether infant or older-- you can travel within a couple of weeks so that you and your spouse can attend the adoption hearing. If necessary, one spouse may leave the country after the adoption hearing.

How is a child assigned to me?

Nepal International Adoption A child is assigned based on the type of child that you request and based on the laws of Nepal. You will receive an e-mailed picture and a health report, which includes a blood test for hepatitis B and HIV.

What the advantages of this program?

Nepal International Adoption There are many advantages to this program. First, the process goes very quickly. Second the paperwork is simple to process. Third, the fee is very reasonable. There are few extra expenses with this program as the dossier paperwork is simply notarized, so there are no authentication fees. The homestudy, Immigration fees, and your travel and lodging are essentially the only other extra expenses that you will incur.

Who must travel?

Nepal International Adoption One parent must travel to the country. Generally the stay will be for 7-10 days.

What are the Expenses?

The fees for the programs are about $13,000. Airfare is about $1,200 to $1500 per person, and accommodations are about $100 per day for two persons including meals.
